About Me

I feels that every person deserves to be treated with Respect, Kindness and Patience. It’s not always easy for a person to approach counselling for the first time and can be overwhelming. It is my belief that when people are given a safe, inviting space where they are listened to intently, understood with no judgement, a trusting therapeutic relationship can develop and the healing process can begin.

Approach

Therapy is not a quick fix, it is a journey, for each person that journey is different. When we work together, I provide a safe therapeutic space, with empathy, trust and a non-judgemental environment. It is not my place to judge your choices, thoughts or decisions, it is my role to help you find your way through the challenges you are facing.

I believe in working with the person, not just the symptoms. So, when we work together, we will look at many different aspects of your life. By unravelling the ball of yarn in your head, you can build resilience, confidence and self-esteem.

This provides you with a solid foundation to gain new insights into negative thoughts, and assumptions that may be standing in the way of your quality of life. To learn new skills and tools to empower you in the present and in future hurdles.

I believe there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to therapy. There will be no set agenda during this process, I follow your lead, you are the one that knows you best. In my work, I use an integrative approach, using several different forms of therapy so that working collaboratively we can find the best outcome for you.
